Don't Miss White Christmas in West Brookfield on Sunday, December 7

Every year on the first Sunday in December we have a town celebration all through the center. Most all of the businesses will have open houses as will the library and the churches. It starts around noon.

You can get some roasting chestnuts from Roger Allen at the Common or go for a hayride. At 5:45 p.m. the tree will be lit and then it's off to the Great Hall in the Town Hall. There will be a concert featuring the Quaboag Chorus led by Erich Von Bleicken. Also, Samantha Gillogly, a local virtuoso and student at Berklee College will play violin. Father Christmas will also come by. Then it will be over for another year. So don't miss it.

You can also go to the Sturbridge Times and click on the December issue and scroll down to page 14 for my more extensive article on the event.
