Sturbridge Times Magazine is out, Shameless Self Promotion-June edition

Isn't that a handsome lad on the cover.

Okay, it's been out since the beginning of June. Unfortunately, I am dyslexic where Ben Franklin is concerned. I thought "Poor Richard said never do today that which you can put off until tomorrow."

When someone says, "He's from Podunk" there saying he's a hick from the sticks. Not around here. The Podunk section of East Brookfield had a rich history and you can read about it on Page 8.

There is a new Mexican restaurant in Spencer. My review is on Page 15. We don't do stars or thumbs up. but I liked the Mexicali Grill.

My column is on Page 22. It's about the implications of the death of Osama bin Laden. Hint, think of the big hit song Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli had.

There are many other good articles so look for it on a newstand. If you don't find one, you can download a pdf at http://sturbridgetimes.com/

Two Events-Henna in Brimfield, Farmers Market in West Brookfield

This Friday, from 4:30 pm to 6:30pm at Hitchcock Academy in Brimfield, Sangita Desai will hold a henna gathering. Facebook page is here.

The West Brookfield Farmers Market is today on the Common, 3 to 6:30 p.m. There is great stuff there. Don't worry, the Five Loaves Bakery always brings more than that.
