Sturbridge Times Magazine is out, Shameless Self Promotion-September edition

September, what will the weather throw at us this month? Can't wait to see. At least the new issue of the Sturbridge Times Magazine is out.

The horse is gone as a force in history and so is much romance. Barring the complete collapse of Industrial Civilization, the mounted warrior will never again come out of nowhere to conquer and pillage. On Page 9 I couple that with a review of Empire of the Summer Moon.

Everyone living today is a tad too young to remember the Revolutinary War. No matter, Old Sturbridge Village gave us a reprise with Redcoats & Rebels, held in August. It was a re-enactment of part of the war, complete with battle and encampment. Read about it on Page 16.

My column on Page 20 is about the unending crisis afflicting the financial markets and our nation. Disclaimer; I am not responsible for anyone who invests on anything I write about.

There are many other writers with articles in the Sturbridge Magazine, so look for it on a newstand. If you don't find one, you can download a pdf at http://sturbridgetimes.com/
